There are three major ways to stimulates the breasts to induce lactation. They are Marmet Massage, Suckling/Nursing, and Pumping.
Marmet Massage, also referred to as hand expression

The most important part of nursing is a proper latch.
Pumping
If you are pumping to induce lactation you’ll need a hospital grade double pump. You may choose to rent a high end hospital grade pump, but it’s more likely that you’ll purchase your own. Many health insurance plans in the United States cover the cost of a breast pump for birth or adoptive parents, so check with your health care company before purchasing.
